The Expansion of the building for School of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Seville is built within a courtyard concept as a representative and functionally versatile space, around which the renovated existing building, the library and the laboratories are disposed.

In the existing building a MEP and Façades transformation is made for its functional and energy optimization. It houses the classrooms, teaching laboratories and administration. The extension is connected to the three floors conceived as  a functional building of spaces around a courtyard that allows the division and equipping of research laboratories and department offices.

The facades of all the pieces are formed by a modulated matrix of equal gaps that allows multiple possibilities of variation of closed or open gaps, in this way it responds to possible interior modifications and it also manages to optimize the natural light that enters the classrooms according to their orientation and size.
