At MEDIOMUNDO, we understand architecture as a tool to improve people’s lives and respond to the social and environmental challenges of our time. We are therefore pleased to share that Marta Pelegrín has been named Key Speaker at the international conference ‘Confort at the Extremes. Investing in Well Being in a Challenging Future’, to be held at the School of Architecture, University of Seville, on 20–21 November 2024.
During the conference, Marta will present the results of our research project ‘Small interventions for big changes: prototype design for UPCYCLE Social Mass housing in Europe’. This work explores how small-scale architectural interventions can generate significant transformations in collective social housing, focusing on sustainability, recycling, and community wellbeing.
At MEDIOMUNDO, led by Fernando Pérez and Marta Pelegrín, we are committed to research, innovation, and social engagement as fundamental pillars of our practice. Participating in international forums such as this allows us to share experiences, learn, and continue to promote a more conscious and transformative architecture.
